Elite Navy SEAL Shane Wolfe (Vin Diesel) can handle just about anything thrown his way, but even the best have their limits. When he fails to keep scientist Howard Plummer (Tate Donovan) safe from assassination, Wolfe has a shot at redemption by being assigned to protect Plummer's five children, including rebellious Zoe (Brittany Snow), Seth (Max Thieriot) and clingy Lulu (Morgan York). More than a handful, these kids -- and their pet duck -- are pushing this seasoned warrior to the edge.

Critics Consensus

Vin Diesel parodies his tough guy image for the family audience, but the result is only moderately amusing.

Jace E Do the Peter Panda Dance! This movie is so much fun. Vin Diesel hams it up in the role, the kids are great and the plot itself is entertaining. The Pacifier delivers on exactly what you would expect in looking at the poster. My kids loved watching it and I loved re-visiting a piece of my childhood with this one. It might seem predictable, but every small moment leading up and contributing to the finale is exactly what I look for in screenplay construction.Best Character: LuluBest Quote: "Goodnight, Peter Panda" Best Scene: The final Peter Panda DanceBest Song: Everyday SuperheroNote: Can you imagine the other half of this movie where the mom is guessing a password for two weeks? I'm glad we got to see this side of the story. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Prabudhjeet A Its a great holiday movie to watch with the family. There are less mumblings by Vin Diesel and its classic no one likes him at first but likes later. Vin Diesel, Brittany Snow, Max Thieriot, Morgan York, Lauren Graham, Brad Garrett, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. The story of the movie was kind of entertaining and a little humorous. It's a goofy story about protecting a family in danger. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you might enjoy it. That's only my opinion. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
